If you go out in the woods today…


You're sure of a big surprise.
If you go out in the woods today
You'd better go in disguise
For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain, because
Today's the day the Wychwood cast of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ began filming in the Baldons…

But life was no picnic for these girls.  Dorothy (Eppie Howard,) Tin man (Anna Hawthorne,) Scarecrow (Philippa Ashdown,) and the cowardly lion (Stephanie Onwunali,) were put through their thespian paces as Miss Sherlock directed the discrete section of film that will serve as the backdrop for the scene at the witch’s castle.

A huge thank you to Mr and Mrs Mason who hosted us at the woods in the Baldons, and then replenished the group with wonderful home made cakes and pizza after two chilly hours of filming.

   

‘The Wizard of Oz’ will be performed on Thursday 4th December at 7.30 pm and on Friday 5th December for a 2pm matinée performance.
