Work Experience
The week before Half Term in the Michaelmas Term the Shell go on Work Experience. This is organised by Mrs Henk in conjunction with the form teachers during the Hilary and Trinity Terms of their UT year. All girls must keep a work experience diary and the school receives a report on them from their 'employer'. Members of staff visit or telephone girls during the week to monitor their progress, give encouragement, meet the 'employers' and deal with any problems that may have arisen. The work experience diary forms part of the GCSE English coursework.
In the first week of November there is a Work Experience presentation for staff, parents and Upper Transits. This is followed by a buffet supper.
