ICT

Pupils arrive in school with a variety of ICT experiences.  It is important therefore, to ensure that all students have an understanding of the most commonly used terminology and procedures.  The importance of good presentation is highlighted throughout.

Work in Remove (Year 7) and Inters (Year 8) is generally focused on learning basic software skills with some discussion of application.  This is expanded further at Lower Transits (Year 9).  Here, pupils are introduced to more project based work that may involve the use of a variety of software, and where the solution to problems and tasks can be achieved in a number of ways.

Currently all pupils take the OCR GCSE Short Course in ICT at Key Stage 4.  AS and A level ICT is offered to pupils in the Study.
