ICT Provision

The School Network

Each girl has access to the networked workstations, all of which have Internet access, and is given her own personal email address. There are two computer suites, one used mainly for dedicated ICT lessons, the other being available for lessons across the curriculum. There is free access for the girls throughout the day and evening. There are six workstations in the library with single networked workstations in most subject areas and workstations in the Art department. Other peripherals include digital cameras, scanners, LCD projectors and interactive whiteboards.

Safety on the Net

We are aware of the possible dangers for pupils in using the Internet unsupervised and it is an important part of our ICT strategy to protect pupils from controversial and undesirable material and to protect their privacy.
