GCSE and A Level Choices

Choices at GCSE and 'A' level are arranged to suit the majority of pupils.
At GCSE, all girls are expected to take English, Maths and French, as well as short course RS and IT. In addition 4 or 5 further subjects are chosen from:
Art, Biology, Chemistry, Drama, English Literature, Geography, History, Music, Photography, Physics, Psychology, Spanish, Sports Studies, Textiles
Girls usually take single-award Science two years early, in Lower Trainsits Year (9). This fulfils the National Curriculum requirement, enabling them either to go on to specialise in the science they prefer, or to branch out into other areas of the curriculum.
